Who are we?

The Commission diocesaine Justice and Peace (CDJP/Bukavu) is a specialised pastoral service for the defence of human rights and the promotion of justice and peace of the Archdiocese of Bukavu. It was set up on 1 August 1988.

It operates in 40 parishes with ± 2 million inhabitants covering 8,815 km² (established in 3 communes of the city of Bukavu and 5 rural territories of the Province of South Kivu: Kabare, Kalehe, Idjwi, Walungu and Mwenga in part).
